Trapdoor are a rock and roll band established in Buckinghamshire. Their new EP, released earlier this month, consists of four songs which showcase their diverse style, varying from an upbeat electrifying sound to more stripped-back and gentle tunes.

With witty, thoughtful lyrics and energetic guitar riffs and solos, Trapdoor’s style  is reminiscent of the likes of the Arctic Monkeys and Queens of the Stone Age.

The stand-out track from their EP is undoubtedly ‘Cut Out’, which has already been recognised by BBC 6 Music’s Tom Robinson as he listed it in his top 30 tracks of the week on his Freshnet Listening Post ( It is a face-paced, ruthless opener to the EP, boasting dynamic riffs and shrewd lyrics. It is the ultimate crowd-pleaser.
