The obliteration room: when children are given stickers.

Colossal art and design blog by Christopher Jobson is a brilliant website showcasing new and amazing art from around the world. His aim is to provide the viewers with “visual goodness” in the fields of photography, design, animation, painting, installation art, architecture, drawing and street art.

This particular entry caught my eye; it’s a fantastic idea by artist Yayoi Kusama who constructed a brilliant white room in Queensland Gallery of Modern Art and over the course of two weeks allowed children to come in and decorate the room with thousands and thousands of stickers. The result is a vibrant eruption of colour and madness. It’s a striking idea; fun for children, unpredictable in outcome and outstanding to behold.
