Making the mundane extraordinary

Taking graffiti and street art to new heights of ingenuity, creativity and even comedy, here are some examples of the best of 2011’s street art as found by Alive. Turning a car park into a meadow, bollards into characters, and even giving a tree a knitted jumper, graffiti can no longer be seen as vandalism, well certainly not in these cases. They definitely do more brightening up than destruction.

Here are some of my personal favourites:

“We blend insight, ideas, innovation and practicality to help brands connect with people in a meaningful way.”

Alive Agency is a small art agency working in the fields of design, digital, advertising, mobile, experiential, viral and direct mail. They also have a brilliant blog showing the best of what they can offer as well as other interesting showcases and thoughts about what’s new in the world of art and design.
